Cbank, DIA say to reshuffle several top managers until March
MOSCOW, Jan 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank and state Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) will reshuffle several top managers in late January–March, the bank and the agency said in their statements on Friday.
The central bank’s First Deputy Chairman Sergei Shvetsov will leave the regulator on March 21 to be replaced by current Deputy Chairman Vladimir Chistyukhin, and Insurance Market Department Director Filipp Gabuniya will be promoted to deputy chairman of the regulator.
According to the Moscow Exchange’s (MOEX) Oleg Vyugin, Shvetsov may replace him as MOEX supervisory board chairman.
Deputy Chairman of the bank Dmitry Skobelkin will pass his post on to head of the DIA Yury Isayev on January 25, while the DIA will consider promoting its current Deputy Director General Andrei Melnikov to director general of the DIA.
Changes in the management of the central bank will not affect its policies, head of the Russian parliament’s lower house State Duma Financial Markets Committee Anatoli Aksakov told PRIME in a brief comment.
“There is an obvious need to make some changes, rotation of personnel, but … I do not think that anything will fundamentally change in the actions of the central bank,” Aksakov said.
